An individual of Australian nationality who jumped over a barricade and touched actress Ariana Grande has been sent away and barred from Singapore.

Johnson Wen, twenty-six, was given a sentence to more than a week in jail for being a public nuisance and has now been "banned from entering the country again," the country's border control stated to Singaporean press.

The man shoved past photographers and rushed toward the celebrity, who was present at the regional launch for the musical adaptation on 13 November. Co-star Cynthia Erivo pulled him back from Grande.

He has a background of disrupting concerts and star-studded occasions, including rushing the stage at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in the past June.

The incident sparked outrage in Singapore, with several individuals claiming he of re-traumatising Grande.

"I'm sure he didn't intend us danger, but you never know with such situations, and I sought to ensure that she was alright. That was my immediate response," she commented.
